For five decades, this exceptional market has supported farmers, growers, and artisan food entrepreneurs from all around the state of Iowa, creating a vibrant gathering place in the heart of the city. Touted as one of the best farmers markets in Iowa and the U.S., the market brings together 300 diverse vendors and 25,000 visitors every Saturday morning between May and October. The vendors represent 50 counties across the state, and the market spans nine city blocks in Downtown Des Moines' Historic Court District, offering an incredible variety of fresh food, home-baked goods, live music, local vendors, arts and crafts, and more.
